Shannon

Shannon has worked as an IT Project/Program Manager for 25 years with opportunities to work with a variety of industries and a broad range of business functions, including eCommerce, retail stores, manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, finance, purchasing, HR, IT, marketing and customer service. She established and ran Project Management offices (PMOs) for four companies. This included the development and training of Project Management processes and tools. Shannon holds a BS degree in Business/Information Systems and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).  She is committed to working with project teams in a collaborative manner. Strong communication skills and she knows how to tailor communications to all levels of an organization. Accomplished acting as a communications bridge between technical and non-technical team members. While most of her projects have used some form of waterfall methodology, she does have experience with scrum/agile methodologies as well. Ability to maintain the “big picture” while drilling into the details of a project’s requirements, design, project plan, financials, issues, risks, vendor engagements, etc.

Beyond the Project Manager role, she teaches piano and violin to children, authors a blog that teaches young people about financial management, and raises American Blackbelly Sheep with her husband.
