Architected, designed, developed, and enhanced multiple product lines within commercial and government software utilizing a wide range of development frameworks based on customer needs. Provided solid software architectural design and implementation in both back end and user interfaces across an assortment of projects and customers. Assisted in capturing revenue by increasing customer engagement across additional product lines and business units.

• Custom file scanning software used to scan, mark, and report specific patterns of text among any number of file types within a client’s environment (cloud, desktop). The platform required a high-performance pipeline to hit client target metrics, along with the versatility of a plug-in-based file reader and pattern matcher to allow custom configurations for each customer based on needs. This new system provided a 20x performance increase over legacy scanners with identical accuracy and eliminated existing file-size limitations.
• Utilized TPL (Task Parallel Library) to create an ultra-high performance, multi-threaded pipeline for reading files, scanning, and reporting results, with customizable optimizations based on disk I/O and network limitations.
• Plug-in architecture for file-type readers (office docs, txt files, pdf, pptx, etc.) and text scanners were developed to allow fast integration and deployment of new features based on customer requirements.
• Stream-based file readers allow files to be searched while reading data and without memory limitations on file size.
• Developed multi-layer scans (coarse, fine) to improve performance across large and complex file types.
• Created a test-harness to assist in executing and comparing results/performance statistics between the new system and legacy system.

Led development teams for multiple government and commercial projects. Mentored new engineers and assisted in team integration, finding “best placement” based on employee skills.
