At In All Media I have been leading a LATAM team focused on helping a giant job board player to add several integrations with other recruitment platforms successfully. The main stack is Angular.js in the frontend and Ruby on Rails in the backend
Consulta Remédio is one of the biggest pharmacy marketplaces in the World with more than 30M visits every month. As developers at CR, we have many challenges on daily basis where we need to think about the best way to grow the product thinking about its scalability as we have nearly 1M access everyday. I am part of the backend team working on many projects behind the scenes from the main platform where we receive the final users. The main stack on the backend is Ruby on Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, Spree framework, ElasticSearch, Docker, Redis and Sidekiq.
In this project, I have worked as a full stack developer helping to maintain and develop new features for the web platform. The project’s main stack is Ruby on Rails and the platform uses the standard Rails MVC and Rails Api to feed the Android and IOS apps.
The project is running on Docker containers and is using Github Actions CI. The application’s main search engine uses ElasticSearch with Solar, it has its own Design System with a huge help of bootstrap and all the logic is abstracted from the controllers with Interactors.
The platform has a community of nearly 1.7 million users across the World and receives thousands of visits everyday. To monitor the application and keep the system healthy, we use NewRelic, LogDNA and Cloudflare services.
RESPONSIBILITIES Ruby on Rails and React.js development
● Developed a full REST API application using Ruby on Rails including a very smart and
efficient resource matching feature using ElasticSearch and MongoDB
● Developed a React/Redux frontend application styled with Material UI library
● The last contribution was a pretty elegant refactor of the React project applying ducks
patterns for all
We have refactored the project using ducks concepts and organizing all files by feature with the purpose of turning it into a more scalable application. I also had the opportunity to take a few months to study Blockchain technology and start maturing how we are going to build a Decentralized database to manage the platform transactions in the future. I have also worked with React-Native to start developing a React-Native version of the front end for a better user experience on mobile devices.
This was a remote position which involved working autonomously to develop specifically the User Interface for the game Hacker Experience 2. I have created the game visual identity with Adobe Photoshop, and mapped it into the code, creating then the CSS framework which will be used to finish styling the project’s frontend development. All the project backend was already built at that time and the frontend was being refactored at the same time. I first made a quite extensive research on the Cyberpunk theme to get some references and also went deeper into my CSS/Sass studies. Finally I took some time to get some UX tips and then started creating the main game UI components using Adobe Photoshop and then mapping them into the code.
RESPONSIBILITIES Web/app prototyping and WordPress websites development
● Worked on an extensive range of small projects: prototyping mobile apps, validating customers ideas and helping them to innovate their business.
● Developed WordPress websites for institutional organizations and small businesses
Project Event Coordinador of the VI Computer Science Week of Ufscar during one year.
I was responsible, with two other people, for managing the event planning and execution.
With no previously experience we had to learn how to keep the team organized and motivated, working collaborately with everyone over the project planning and running. It was a successful event which received a lot of recognition from the Academy and the most important IT companies from the Country.
Photographer Freelancer of social events in general.
Freelance Cameraman of social events in general.
Volunteer work as stage assistant at the biggest event of Internet in Latin America ‘Campus Party’. I had to support all the speakers during their talks and also manage the crowed interaction at the end. It was a great opportunity to grow my networking in the technology and innovation national ecosystem.
