Responsible for developing a style guide for the development of BI visualizations, design of components, naming of items, and implementation of reporting dashboards which covered 11 different languages for users in over 30 different countries. Duties also included monitoring data storage, creating wireframes for new dashboards and existing reports, documenting work processes, reviewing and validating data, collaborating with data engineers, and fixing the issues.
Provided functional and technical guidance to business teams on how to operate the new tools, training users by creating customized business-focused online courses. Leading Tableau vision to set out the product direction and manage the development team. The project involved creating stricture for the business, which helped to understand how 3 business reporting data can be merged into one, and have the same reporting platform across the entire company after Hotelbeds merged with the other two businesses. Creating new advanced reporting features and overhauling old reports from Cognos, Qlikview, and PowerBi tools. Data was extracted from multiple source systems and moved to a single data warehouse which was later used to create reports for different departments. This was achieved after close collaboration with
company leaders and department stakeholders. Some data processes required automation, which involved Alteryx and Tableau Prep tools to be used to capture data. The mission was to have a data-driven organization that also involved training over 2000 users across 10 departments on how to create and interact with reports on Tableau Online/Desktop. The training process included creating customized online courses, running webinars, and on-site classes for different levels of users using best practices which also led to creating new standards and governance rules.
