Led a Cloud Migration team of Architects and Engineers for a large TELCO for the migration from On-Prem to Azure. Leveraged technologies such as Terraform for deploying resources onto Azure and Azure DevOps for CI/CD and also to coordinate the Agile Process. Personally in charge of reviewing the Terraform releases and pull requests for corrections in the code and verifying that nothing is being deployed that does not comply with the team’s technical standards.

• Led the update of the existing AKS Environment to a Multi-Region Solution using a regional load-balanced Infrastructure, with the use of Azure Monitor, Azure Policies, and Helm Charts.
• Developed several documents to improve the migration process. One of them is the technical details of the migrated assets (IAAS and PAAS) and also improved the Architectural Diagrams.

Managed the company’s Cloud Presence using MS Azure and the links to its On-Prem Dependencies. The role has two dimensions.  The first is the technical leadership for all of our Cloud Strategy, and the second is the leadership and coordination of internal resources as well as vendor resources.

• Designed the solution for SAP Cloud using IAAS due to an NFR coming from the Consulting Firm and also designed the Dev and PROD environments for our AKS (Kubernetes as a Service on Azure) with over 100 pods and over 5 nodes.
• Using RDS SQL and using Kubernetes as the heart of our Microservices strategy, allowed independent growth and rapid elasticity.
• Developed several runbooks to automate actions that were previously tied to manual tasks, and introduced this practice into the company.
• Was also the AGILE POC for several squads amongst IT Services.

He managed the company’s On-Prem Servers in the two main Data Centers in the US as well as more than 4 Data Rooms located throughout LATAM (Andes, Caribbean, and South America). This covers the entire scope of the Datacenter at a Level 3 Stage for VMWare, Microsoft, Citrix, and Cloud services on Azure. Implemented service improvements on the incident management process and integrated the existing tools into these processes through automation and other tools. (Azure DevOps + Teams + ServiceNow).

• Scrum Master for the Infrastructure Squad and I was able to bring the Backlog under control after 4 sprints.
• Ensured that all aspects of the Vulnerability Management and Platform Hardening were enforced,
• Actively engaged in the Migration to the Cloud of over 50 On-Prem applications and their corresponding Services.

Managed the company’s cloud services on AWS and Azure as well as the on-prem integration of these services. He was the Technical Leader of the team and acted as the decision-maker on technical matters when the team could not reach an agreement either internally or with the stakeholders.
His experience in managing Cloud assets went beyond simple instance and storage management, and he also configured more specific services such as network load balancers and other software-defined components.

• Developed several improvements for our services that have resulted in a significantly lower monthly cost with the same level of performance and availability.
• Developed a great number of migrations to cloud projects using both lift and shift, as well as component-based migration.
• Designed a solution that using Lambda and video transcoding was able to do facial recognition on live feeds 100% cloud-based.
• Created CloudFormation templates that allowed his team to deploy new environments in a matter of minutes both for PAAS as well as IAAS scenarios.
• Implemented several improvements for our S3 and EC2 management ( reserved instances, transfer acceleration, encryption, AMI standards, VPC Security) using a combination of Lambda with SNS.
